Who We Serve

Built for companies with a credible solution and a serious mission.

KAJ Consulting works primarily with defense startups and manufacturers entering or expanding within the defense market.

  • Defense startupsTeams that need to align a promising technology with a validated Army problem and a realistic engagement path.
  • Manufacturers entering defenseCommercial firms that need to understand mission requirements, Army organizations, and the expectations of defense customers.
  • Leaders assessing market fitExecutives who want an honest assessment before committing more capital, time, or organizational attention.

How We Work

Focused engagements. Direct senior attention.

Most client relationships are structured as monthly retainers over three to six months, with scope and cadence matched to the problem.

Selective by design. KAJ Consulting accepts no more than three active clients at a time. The fit assessment goes both ways so that expectations, ethics, and mission value are clear before an engagement begins.

Relevant Experience

Experience from inside the systems your company needs to understand.

Kevin helped shape and operate enterprise systems across Army acquisition support, sustainment, readiness, maintenance, logistics, and the Organic Industrial Base.

Kevin retired as a U.S. Army Colonel after more than 30 years of service, including more than 26 years as a commissioned officer and more than 24 years on active duty. His assignments included Army Materiel Command, U.S. Army Forces Command, and the 3rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command.

He helped build and lead new operating and acquisition-support systems from inside the Army. He also saw important problems that government could not solve alone. KAJ Consulting was created to help capable companies understand those problems, refine the fit of their technologies, and contribute responsibly to the defense industrial base - with particular focus on the Organic Industrial Base.

Kevin's approach is direct, practical, and service-centered. He works alongside leaders to clarify the problem, test assumptions, and leave the organization better equipped to execute.
